Research

My work sits inside climate–economy integrated assessment models (IAMs) — trying to make the damage side of these models take ecosystems as seriously as they take capital stocks.

CLIMRISK

A forest & PFT damage module

Development of a damage module that represents climate impacts on forests at the level of Plant Functional Types (PFTs) within the CLIMRISK integrated assessment framework, linking biophysical forest response to the model's economic damage function.

Model: CLIMRISK Focus: forest / PFT damages
RICE-MED

Ecosystem services in RICE-MED

Introducing ecosystem services into a Mediterranean regional variant of RICE (RICE50+), recalibrating the climate–economy damage function coefficients against recent empirical literature.
